So since it has been officially announced… Tonight (Thursday Dec. 21) is the last PEMPM at the Peabody Essex Museumand although we know that there is some awesome things in the works we did want to wax poetic for a moment. Join us at the last one December PEMpm: Cup of Cheer

This series of events has inspired and excited us
This series of events shined a light on so many creative professionals.
This series of events was added motivation to our mission.

PEMPM was a series of events designed as an “after hours at the museum” initiative. It became so much more…

Over the course of 5 years that we covered and documented EVERY one of the monthly series, we were introduced to and immersed in hundreds of unique and diverse happenings.

We met robots, we engaged with the community, we watched chainsaw demonstrations, we partied with Tribe Called Red, we met new friends, we caught up with old ones, we walked with beests and their maker, we showcased the local creative community at Artopia, we were introduced to some of New Englands most unique artists, we learned how a maker space could double as a community gathering space, we heard dozens of bands and saw countless examples of performance art, we danced like we were at Carnavale with Diablo Cojuelo, we played Quidditch, we learned the power of sticks, we danced with Nick Cave,we got scared with Salem Horror… and that just scratches the surface.

Since you’re here… We need your help. Creative Salem sparks and fosters the growth of the ever evolving creative economy in Salem and throughout the North Shore. The creativity of more people than ever has been ignited through our coverage and support, and we need your help to keep fostering the creatives and artists who make the world a more creative place. With your help, we can keep planning unique events, providing unparalleled free coverage of the leaders and initiatives in the creative economy space while building our creative collective and advocate network. We do this because we believe in a thriving creative culture and its impact on quality of life – we know you do, too. If everyone who reads this article helps fund us, the future of a more “creative” community would be a lot more secure. For as little as $5 per month, you can support our mission.
