ATTENTION SALEM RESIDENTS
The Peabody Essex Museum is always free to Salem residents. Shelter to Showpiece House Tour – 11AM –August 1-12 -Come tour the historic houses at the Peabody Essex Museum and experience three centuries of Salem. (Tour free with museum admission to out-of-town patrons and free to Salem Residents - Space is limited – First come first serve). All patrons must check in at admission desk prior to tour. For more information contact the PEM at 978-745-9500. (Museum closed on Monday, August 6)
Free Self-Guided Tours at the Ropes Mansion at 318 Essex Street every Saturday and Sunday through fall from 12pm - 4pm. This Georgian Colonial was built around 1727 and was home to four generations of the Ropes family. It is recognized as one of New England's most significant and thoroughly documented historic houses and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Filled with original furnishings, the Ropes Mansion contains superb examples of 18th- and 19th-century furniture, ceramics and glass, silver, kitchenwares, textiles and personal objects.
The Salem Witch Museum is always free to Salem residents. The Salem Museum at Old Town Hall is always free to Salem residents.
The Salem Wax Museum celebrates its 25th Anniversary with 25 cent admission for Salem residents during Heritage Days (August 3-12)
The House of the Seven Gables is always free to Salem residents. From August 3-12, the Family Navigation Game is offered daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and The Living History Labs hands-on history experience is offered daily from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Cry Innocent/History Afoot Walking Tour/ The Spirit of Salem film — Free to Salem residents with proof of address during the summer and through the month of September. Packages available at the box office cart at the Old Town Hall. www.historyalivesalem.com
The Salem Trolley* is free to Salem residents through September 30, 2018. *Salem Trolley - free rides on the Salem Trolley for Salem residents starting June 1st and lasting until September 30th. Residents can receive a Resident Ticket for the day of by providing proof of residency at the Salem Trolley Office (8 Central Street). Residents’ Tickets are only available at the Salem Trolley Office. (residents’ tickets are on a space available basis) The trolley runs daily 10AM-5PM

The Witch House will be free to Salem residents during Heritage Days. Pioneer Village will be free to Salem residents on Saturday August 4 th .
SALEM SATURDAYS AT BAKERS LIGHT! On Saturday August 11, Salem residents receive 20% off when purchasing tickets to tour Bakers Island Light Station IN PERSON at the Salem Visitors Center (2 New Liberty Street, Salem). We all scream for ICE CREAM! Sample flavors from many of the North Shore's finest creameries, ice cream shops, and restaurants. Specific vendors include Melt Ice Cream, Maria's Sweet Somethings, Captain Dusty's Ice Cream, Cherry Farm Creamery, and E.W. Hobbs Ice Cream!
Salem's Ice Scream Bowl is held on Wed, August 8, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on the Salem Common.
PLEASE NOTE THIS YEAR'S CHANGE TO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children CASH ONLY. Tickets are purchased on site on the day of the event. A spoon and napkins will be supplied with the purchase of a ticket.
