SALEM, MA – Ithaca College’s premier all-male vocal group, Ithacappella will perform at Salem State University on Sunday, November 18 at 3 pm. Salem State’s a cappella group, SSockapella and the Salem State Community Chorus will perform at the beginning of the program. The concert will take place in the university’s Recital Hall, located on Central Campus, 71 Loring Ave.   

Ithacappella was founded in 1996 by four Ithaca College music students with a love for singing and a passion for performing.  Recognized as one of the best collegiate a cappella groups in the world, the ensemble performs repertoire ranging from traditional choral and barbershop tunes to current radio hits.The group has competed numerous times in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. Ithacappella has also shared the stage with the Grammy-nominated rock group Incubus, performing the band’s hit song “Dig” for thousands of fans.  The group has released seven studio albums, the most recent being “Deviations” in 2017. 

In addition to its main stage concerts at Ithaca College during the school year, the group brings its passion for a cappella music to schools in the form of interactive singing workshops designed to educate and inspire musicians of all ages. Their concert at Salem State is part of a series of regional concerts and workshops. 

This event is appropriate for all ages. Admission is a goodwill offering at the door.
