March Events Calendar Announced by The Cabot

Exciting line-up at The Cabot, Off Cabot, and the launch of new on-demand platform

The Cabot kicks off the spring with a great line-up of shows this March. Starting off on Friday, March 4 is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Blue Öyster Cult celebrating their 50th anniversary on Saturday, March 5. The Cabot’s Community Conversations series will host its next event on Thursday, March 10 with Coastal Communities Talk Water. The event is presented in partnership with Green Beverly with support from Salem Sound Coastwatch, Sustainable Marblehead, and Ipswich River Watershed Association

The rest of the month hosts spectacular acts such as CATAPULT, Johnny A. Guitar Summit, The Devon Allman Project and Samantha Fish Band with special guests River Kittens, A St. Patrick’s Day Celtic Sojourn with Brian O’Donovan, A Song Is Born: A Songwriter’s Night to Benefit the National MS Society, Muse: A Salute to Divas Showcase, Jimmy Tingle Live! HUMOR FOR HUMANITY, and more. The Cabot will be presenting The High Kings at Shubert Theater in Boston on Friday, March 18. Movies will be announced throughout the month.

As of February 16, The Cabot has updated its health & safety policies. Masks are required for those not vaccinated and are recommended for all patrons when not eating or drinking; attendees for concerts and live events will still need to show proof of vaccination or a negative test. Further information on the updated policies can be found at thecabot.org/covid-19-information.

The Cabot officially launched its on-demand platform Cabot To-Go. Similar to most other movie streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, or Apple TV, and with the technology support from Shift72, Cabot To-Go offers dozens of new and classic films to be rented on-demand – however unlike similar platforms, a member subscription is not required. Each film will be available as an on-demand rental – all in support of the 100 year old historic North Shore theater.

Having officially announced Off Cabot Comedy Club & Events in January, The Cabot, in partnership with John Tobin Presents, announced the first performances at the 150-seat comedy club, located just down the street from The Cabot at 9 Wallis Street in Beverly, MA. The club will kick things off on Saturday, March 19 with a special opening night event. The full schedule can be found at offcabot.org.

The schedule of events at The Cabot for March is as follows:

About The Cabot

For a century, The Cabot in Beverly has been a local treasure, a dream palace at the heart of the downtown, and a welcoming gathering place for generations of North Shore residents. Originally known as The Ware, this opulent, neoclassical-style theater was built in 1920 by the renowned architectural firm Funk & Wilcox. Originally used for vaudeville shows and silent movies, it was later owned by the movie chain E.M. Loews. In 1976, The Cabot was purchased by Le Grand David and his own Spectacular Magic Company, and for the next 36 years was home to this world-famous magic show. The Cabot is now being transformed into a 21st century venue for audiences of all ages, with nationally recognized live performers, current and classic movies and community events. Since its reopening in November 2014, The Cabot is once again a vital part of the North Shore’s artistic life. The Cabot celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. Visit https://thecabot.org.
