Human endeavor is the thing, we are all striving for something. The who, what, where, when and how of that effort is what makes a story, understanding and cultivating all of these elements into a narrative creates connection, which is why storytelling exists. I have always been fascinated by this process, it is my endeavor to help share and cultivate stories.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
13 Productions is a storytelling vehicle; the fuel that moves that vehicle is our creative community. Video is a collaborative medium, without our crew and collaborative professionals we wouldn’t exist. Being able to resource a community like ours that is rich in artistic depth and breadth is absolutely invaluable to us. It makes us all better.
What was the last book you read or film you watched that made an impact on you?
A quote that has been kicking around in my head for years now; “The highest reward for a person’s toil is not what they get for it, but what they are made by it”. It’s vitally important to see and acknowledge both when we engage in business.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
