Meet The Member: Crystal Visions Salem

In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.

Crystal Visions Salem is a small business with big goals! In its current iteration, I use an online shop platform and craft fair settings to sell hand-crafted art and metaphysical tools which utilize crystal energy. It was important to me to incorporate crystals into all of my pieces. I create hand-laid, framed crystal grids, I hand sculpt and paint crystal trinkets, crystal energy generators, I charge and bless herb and crystal spell bottles, hand-string crystal jewelry, and more! My pieces are more than just witchy decor, they are also tools to be used for manifestation work and intention setting. Each piece is designed with the energies of the crystals in mind, and all crystals are cleansed, charged, and ready to be used for the owner’s individual goals.

I love working on custom designs to bring someone’s favorite energies into a special, one-of-a-kind piece of art. Although I am currently running my business through my Etsy shop, I have decades of formal and informal spiritual education in Salem, and am working towards my goal of opening a physical Crystal Visions Salem location in downtown Salem.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.

My deep love for crystals developed in my early childhood, and even now as an adult, I am still fascinated and captivated by their beauty and natural history.

As a child, my mother and I regularly adventured to Salem to explore, learn, and visit museums and memorials. Through our adventures, my respect and understanding of the city’s history, as well as the art of the Craft grew, and my heart has been called here ever since. Salem is one of my favorite places in the world because I always know I will be able to connect and grow in a spiritual way with likeminded individuals.

As an adult, I’m very committed to my continued education and understanding of witchcraft and other spiritual practices/ healing modalities, as both a science and an art. I have advanced in my studies to become a Cabot Witch/ Priestess in the Cabot Tradition, educated in Salem by Rev. Laurie Cabot, and I am also a Reiki Master educated by Lourdes Gray. Through continuing my formal education and committing to this path, I have gained an abundance of knowledge, skills, and ritualistic practices, and a family of loving and welcoming healers and witches.

The purpose of my Crystal Visions Creations is to bring majickally charged, hand-crafted, crystal art pieces that draw in the vibrational energies of crystals to help manifest intentions. All of my shop items are crafted by hand, and created with crystals and/or herbs that are cleansed and charged to bring the highest, most correct energies.

Opening this online shop feels like the appropriate first step for a weird li’l rock loving kid like me to get a feel for doing some creative work that I am truly passionate about, and to build my brand for future endeavors.

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)

I have been creating crystal grids for my own magical use for over a decade, often sharing photos of them online, but I always felt there was a better, more tangible way to share the beauty and power of crystal grids with my community around me. Thus in 2020 (with lots of unexpected time on my hands), the first few framed crystal grids were born! These pieces led to the start of my online shop, and eventually inspired my other magical creations being brought to fruition, and since then I’ve continued working on new design concepts to share with others who share my love for crystals, magic, and the occult.

What was the last book you read or film you watched that made an impact on you?

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?

My several years as a radio show host and producer led me to my first large-scale event production moments. My radio show topic was LGBTQ+ news and lifestyle, and from there, I facilitated a massive parade float in the Boston Gay Pride Parade annually from 2013-2019. Through tons of hard work, many self-organized fundraisers, and with the unwavering support of my community, my 100% grassroots internet radio show created one of the biggest, loudest, and most fun floats in the entire parade for the 7 years leading up to 2020 when the pride organization itself dissolved.

Fast forward to October 2021, I had my first vending experience at the Haunted Happenings Market in Salem, and for the first time, I was able to utilize my event planning skills for something other than my pride floats. It was truly an honor and an amazing experience to vend my hand-made art for the first time ever, in one of the most influential cities I know of.
