Making Legit Beer for New Englanders
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
Our careers had taken us far from home. We started East Regiment to turn a hobby that we love into a new career that we could do in a place we love.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community?
Salem, and New England in general is a diverse area with a long history. Our beers are inspired by this area, its historical aspects, favorite pastimes and cuisines, and the outdoors. We strive to exemplify New England Beer and represent our region with pride. Also if we can score a few cheap laughs at some of our beer names and antics that’s great too. After all, beer is supposed to be fun. As our business grows so will our ability to reach out. We do our best to follow brewing practices that are good for the environment as well as contribute to the community when we can. Having a creative and diverse business community is key for Salem. It drives our economy and makes it a unique and pleasant community for its residents.
What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?
The hundreds of DIY Videos on YouTube that helped us build our brewery!
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
Our building was the Old Salem Fire Headquarters! Also the majority of the brewing equipment was custom built by us. I wouldn’t recommend it, stuff breaks constantly!
