In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.

To provide accessible, affordable, high quality primary care to all people and their families. We want to help small business and self employed individuals/families have an advocate in their health care and their health care coverage.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.

I am trying to rebuild a better healthcare system for ALL through a bottom up approach. Direct Primary Care is an affordable, innovative model that accomplishes this by putting the physician-patient relationship at the center.

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)

My business and the business model can give all members of any community access to affordable primary care for less than the average cell phone bill. For self employed individuals, particularly in the creative community such as musicians and artists that may not be able to afford absurdly high insurance premiums and bills, we provide an affordable access point for quality care, coverage assistance through trusted advisors, and healthcare system navigation.

What was the last book you read that made an impact on you?

Book: The Price We Pay by Dr. Marty Makary Video: NBC News story on the son of my patient who is 9 yo and transgender.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?

We are a combo of Netflix/Costco of Healthcare. Our average monthly fee is 75 dollars (21-30 years old is 60 a month) and covers ALL primary care. And we help people find the best insurance product to cover the big stuff. We have cheap lab pricing and help people get medicine and imaging studies for the best price and quality possible. We practice medicine not paperwork/insurance and treat all our patients as individuals with different needs and we do it at a nice quiet office or through all telecommunications- whichever is desired and/or medically appropriate.
