Here on the North Shore, we love the month of June and one of the main reasons is PRIDE MONTH! We even get our own celebration! The North Shore Pride Parade & Festival takes place on June 23, 2018 in Salem, MA. Between the Community parade, the festival on the Commons afterwards and lots of really great nightlife, there is a little something for everyone. North Shore Pride weekend 2018 officially commences with the annual Interfaith Celebration, which brings people of many backgrounds and belief systems together under one roof to celebrate faith, love and pride in a safe and inclusive environment. The Rainbow Times is hosting their second annual Pride Kick-Off Sunset Cruise to benefit North Shore Pride. The Parade kicks off at noon with celebrity Grand Marshall comedienne Caroline Rhea (TV’s “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”) and a new expanded route through downtown Salem that ends on Salem Commons park for the festival. Gender Revolution: A Screening & Panel Discussion Event - June 28 - 7:30 PM - The Cabot - Beverly MA.
In this 90 minute documentary, Katie Couric sets out to explore the rapidly evolving complexities of gender identity.
Please join the Beverly Human Rights Committee, their newly formed LGBTQIA+ task force and Salem's No Place for Hate for the screening of this revolutionary film. The film (90 min) will be followed by a brief (30 minute) panel discussion (panelists TBA). Learn more here.
