Some of those who become U.S. citizens do so with the assistance of The Gables’ Settlement Program and its free ESL/Citizenship training and child care.
From the House of the Seven Gables
SALEM — Now’s the time to register for English and U.S. citizenship classes. These classes, sponsored by The House of the Seven Gables, are part of The Gables’ Settlement Program and have long been extended to those living on the North Shore. The classes are free of charge and now include more options and flexibility for busy family members who want to learn or improve their English-language skills.
It’s not too late to sign up. Drop-in registration is available. Classes are held twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and run until June 18. If needed, free child care is offered while classes are in session. The winter/spring session will be held at the Salem Academy Charter School, 45 Congress St., Salem.
To register or to find out more about the classes and child care, those interested may contact Elsabel Rincon at 978-306-7001 or email@example.com.
