The Salem Ice Scream Bowl is a Salem Main Streets project and fundraiser. Every year, over 1,000 people gather on historic Salem Common to sample some of their favorite ice cream flavors from local purveyors.

Salem Main Streets would like to thank this year’s downtown vendors – Melt, Captain Dusty’s, and Maria’s Sweet Somethings – for generously donating their time as well as their delicious ice cream. Additional thanks to Creative Salem, Mikki L. Wilson, Modern Millie Vintage & Consignments, St. Jean’s Credit Union, and Marblehead/Salem School of Music for sponsoring the individual vendor tents!

The Ice Scream Bowl went green this year! All of our materials were recyclable or compostable in an effort to reduce the impact of this popular event. As a result, we were able to send over 160 gallons of waste to Black Earth Compost this year instead of to a landfill! Special thanks to SalemRecycles for helping to cover the increased costs of materials, as well as their expert advice in making this a more environmentally-friendly event.
