Tickets Now Available Online For Christmas In Salem House Tour

From Historic Salem

Historic Salem, Inc. (HSI) is pleased to announce that tickets for this year’s Christmas in Salem house tour are now available online at www.christmasinsalem.org.  This will be the 42nd annual holiday house tour that has become a Christmas tradition for many residents and friends on the North Shore.

This year’s tour is scheduled for December 4 and 5, is themed “A Return to Tradition” and will feature eight homes in the Orne Square, Broad and Hathorne Street area of Salem.  The unique Orne Square mini-neighborhood is a collection of semi-detached English style cottages that were built just after the great fire of 1914.  Coupled with the grand homes of Hathorne and Broad streets, visitors will be able to experience a range of Salem’s unique architecture in homes decked out for the Holiday.

Due to COVID-19, several safety measures have been put in place for this year’s tour.  First, all tour-goers and tour guides are required to wear masks.  Second, the tour has been divided into time slots. Visitors will be able to choose from four options: Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon.  Third, in-person tickets are very limited and are available only online and in advance.  Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets now in order to ensure a space on the tour.

Once in-person tickets have sold out, a streaming (virtual) tour option will still be available for all. This virtual option is in response to the popularity and reach of last year’s virtual tour. In-person tickets also come with the streaming option in case someone is feeling unwell in any way. This gives everyone the opportunity to attend Christmas in Salem from their homes and helps keep our community safe.

Tickets for in-person and virtual Christmas in Salem tours are $35 per person and are available online at www.christmasinsalem.org.  All proceeds go to support the mission of Historic Salem IncFounded in 1944, Historic Salem Inc. is dedicated to the preservation of historic buildings and sites in Salem, Massachusetts.
