Voted the North Shore’s best sandwich, Flip the Bird is turning out some of the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. And while you should definitely order fried chicken, don’t overlook the frappes on the menu. Frappes are a local staple (don’t call them milkshakes!) and Flip the Bird has added their own twist with flavors like maple and acai. Warning: if you order the Angry Bird (their spiciest sandwich) definitely wear the gloves that come with it. They are not a joke! Take out only.

Now in its second decade, The Blue Ox continues to impress and delight locals with their brand of ‘destination dining, right around the corner. You’ll find superbly prepared steaks, seafood dishes and a killer wine list. Owner Anthony Caturano keeps things interesting and his staff offers some of the best hospitality around. Over the years, The Blue Ox has become known for their burger but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It would be a mistake to leave The Blue Ox without ordering at least one dessert!
